Whether you love rugby or not, there is no denying that with this year’s Rugby World Cup being held in England, it was an exciting year! To celebrate, we challenged you to guess who would be crowned ‘player of the tournament’ as chosen by our judge, Mike Ford, Head Coach at Bath Rugby.
This year’s Rugby World Cup was one which saw no team go quietly. There were a grand total of 271 tries and 194 conversions, scoring an enormous 2,439 points throughout the 48 games.
In the end, New Zealand won, beating Australia by a whopping 34-17, but who did our judge name ‘player of the tournament’?
Despite being pipped to the post, our judge crowned a member of the Australian team player of the tournament. Scoring a total of 3 tries and having an impressive tackle success rate of 87%, David Pocock is this year’s champion!

We were thrilled by the number of entries into this challenge, and with several entries voting for Pocock, we are pleased to announce the winner of the contest is Craig Williams – winning a signed rugby shirt and ball from Bath RFC alongside a huge £150 worth of Kinetica products. Well done Craig!
