Chocolate Protein Beetroot Brownies

Try these tasty, high protein chocolate brownies with a twist! Taste great and make the perfect pre gym snack. Thanks to the Nutritionista for the recipe.

 

Ingredients:

– 90g of dates

– 150g of shredded beetroot

– 2 tbsp of coconut oil

– 1tbsp of honey

– 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract

– 200g of ground almonds

– 2 scoops of chocolate/vanilla whey protein powder

– 20g of cocoa powder

– 1 tsp of baking powder

– 1 tsp of baking soda

– 1/2 tsp of cinnamon

Method:

  1. In a food processer mix the dates and beetroot together.

  2. Add the rest of the wet ingredients.

  3. Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl.

  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and mix well.

  5. Line a baking tin (I used a bread tin for this) with baking parchment or grease it with some melted coconut oil. Place the brownie mixture into the baking tin.

  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until mixture is fully baked.

  7. Allow to cool before cutting into slices.
